Managing daily tasks at work is challenging no matter what you do. Getting out from under the daily voicemails, meetings, and endless emails can feel like walking up an escalator in the wrong direction. It’s hard to focus on moving the organization towards its goals when you have to concentrate so intently on the next step, and the next—just trying not to fall down! Working from that position and perspective, there is little room to fit others on your same step, let alone move more and more people, ideas, and innovative work product to new levels.
